The Fourth Annual Buk Poetry Reading (1 Viewer)

We have half a dozen of these in Los Angeles. They spring up like stubborn weeds every few months.

I think the tribute reading or concert or whatever is kind of like how you used to cruise around aimlessly when you first got your driver's license, playing your favorite bands real loud and annoying everyone to show them how cool you are and what good taste you have.

"I will now recite a Bukowski poem you've heard 600 times to demonstrate my alternative taste in literature!"

"Watch as my band and I ruin this Clash song you've heard 600 times! We loved The Clash when you were still listening to Blondie and Styx!"

is it the correct use of 'ironic' that people would celebrate him by doing something he hated?
