Bukowski and Dorothy Healey of the Communist Party

I just saw that Scott Harrison has a copy of Cold Dogs for sale with an inscription by Buk "For Dorothy Healey--Charles Bukowski 2-7-66." I seemed to remember a story which mentions her and tracked it down to "Eyes Like the Sky" from Erections, p. 415: "Some time back Dorothy Healey came to see me...she had on a pretty blue dress and her eyes were this beautiful glowing blue." This sort of went against my conception of Buk as apolitical, but there's also a comment in Sounes: "He did not align himself with the Left--although FrancEyE remembers him expressing admiration for the Communist Dorothy Healey." I assume he probably got to know Healey through FrancEye...
