Bukowski and Raymond Carver (1 Viewer)

I love both writers. To what extent was Raymond influenced by Bukowski stylistically?

They both focus on low lives, alcoholism, doggedness in the face of hopelessness etc... Raymond was younger and for sure a better short story writer than Bukowski but you could argue Bukowski covered more ground overall.

I am interested in their relationship.
In my "Afterword" to More Notes of A Dirty Old Man, I discussed the Buk/Carver connection a bit which I've posted here.
