Bukowski and Sean Penn (1 Viewer)

I noticed on Born into this that Sean Penn was a friend, or atleast acquaintance, of Bukowski. Is there any novels or short stories in which he writes about him, maybe uses a different name?

For what it's worth, IN THE SHADOW OF THE ROSE is dedicated to Penn. Also, Penn interviewed Buk for INTERVIEW magazine.

Howard Sounes does a good job of briefly recaping their friendship in his bio. Also, if I'm not mistaken, I think Penn bought the Post Office film rights while BUK was still alive...

you'd think he'd do something before that runs out or whatever. Although I think I've had enough Buk novels adapted to the screen as of right now. BUT, that goes without saying that anything Sean Penn does will be 100% wayyyy better than bent hammer and barbet schroders films.
