My friend's fiancee left him. I'm not sure on the messy details, but he's taking it pretty hard and has quit working. I want to send him a poetry collection or book, since Love is a Dog From Hell and You Get So Lonely were helpful to me when I was younger.

Any recommendations?

Same thing happens when you read Céline in English. You miss a little of the flavour of the original.
