Too bad this thread took such a sorry turn. The quality of Bukowski's work inspires me to write, but I'll probably never be listed by Granta as one of the best young writers because I don't have the contacts a university writing program offers. Or at least that's the excuse I'm using for now, along with my failure to no longer be called young.

Inspiration is the least of our problems.
