Joseph Campbell and Bukowski (1 Viewer)

Joseph Campbell always said to "follow your bliss". I can't think of anybody who captures this spirit more than Bukowski.Through all the crap and dark muck he went through and still he persisted in doing what he had to do.It was all he knew what to do.Any Thoughts?

Cannotski, have you read the poem Spark? Even though writing was the only thing B. was good at, he had a family to support and needed that steady income for them. I'm glad he kept that little "spark" in him alive and didn't become like the rest of them. Sometimes, huge sacrifices are made to "follow one's bliss" and to "enter the forest where there is no path".
