"your lie is your life
know it while you have it
you are marvelous
the gods wait to delight in you "

I was just wondering what poem these lines where in and from what book the poem was in. I read it a good while back and can't remember the title. I'm pretty sure it's obvious but I just can't remember. I think there is a video of Linda lee reading it as well but i just cant recall the title. any help?:)

the laughing heart

your life is your life.
don’t let it be clubbed into dank
submission.
be on the watch.
there are ways out.
there is light somewhere.
it may not be much light but
it beats the
darkness.
be on the watch.
the gods will offer you
chances.
know them, take them.
you can’t beat death but
you can beat death
in life,
sometimes.
and the more often you
learn to do it,
the more light there will
be.
your life is your life.
know it while you have
it.
you are marvelous
the gods wait to delight
in
you.

No problem... it's one of my favorites that I had stapled to the wall for awhile. Not sure where I found it (life can be a blur) other than to say that it didn't come from My Beerdrunk Soul is Sadder Than All The Dead Christmas Trees Of The World. ;) Happy Hunting.

I replaced the sort-of-it version above with the actual published version (which we don't usually do for copyright reasons, but it was already here, so...).

It could have been edited, yes, but it comes from the last book not to be heavily edited, so there is some hope that it is genuine.
