The emperor of San Francisco occurs in Women and a few poems, as I recall. The last stanzas in "A Note Upon..." and "out on the branch" poems are clearly different because of the variation in line hard returns. :eek:

Sometimes when reading Bukowski, my sanity is questioned. I often find myself thinking "didn't I read this already?"

I knew of a few other places where he "recycled." Can't think of any glaring examples now, but when I do I will note them here.

When I do this I call it "plagiarizing myself."
