The Days Run Away... was edited by Dorbin, who culled the poems from the littles and printed them verbatim.
I thought of ships, of armies, hanging on...must have been an exception.
2 flies however (collected in Play The Piano...) is identically equal to the Targets version.
 
Yes, it does. You called it poetry for dummies or so. Inventing new lines to explain something that doesn't need any explanation.
 
Interesting. Of course, he could have been viewing Jane as a sort of common-law wife and using poetic license. Then again, you knew that, but we can't assume that everyone else does. :rolleyes:
