so i saw a hardcover of 'what matters most...' at the bookstore and the 'first' page was not colored and it clearly stated second printing but there was the colophon on the 'last' page. was this a mess up?

later printings did not usually have a colophon, but it is always possible. I would not call it an error unless all of the otther second printings were missing the colophon.

I think that like most things small press, there is nothing completely constant,,,
