Which browser do you prefer? (1 Viewer)

Not to start any browser wars here but since some of you seem to be real web-experts (compared to amateurs like me) and just out of curiosity, which web browser do you prefer/use?

I recently got me the Opera 9.5 and think it`s very cool. Slim, fast and with a lot of useful tools.

Your opinions?
 
I used to like Firefox. They changed a bit with the upgrade to three,
and I'm getting used to it.

On a related note, my computer shit the bed on Sunday. I'm still not
sure what happened. I installed a firewall, and it wouldn't boot. I got an
endless loop of restarts.

I was using Vista. I say was. I wiped everything out, and installed XP. I feel
that Vista was a kin to Millennium Edition Windows: Fraught with peril, and in
the end a soon to be forgotten OS. I hated it from the beginning. XP is not
much better, but it's better. I swear to fuck, I'm going Linux, or Apple soon. . .

I mean. Here I am, with one day off. I spent it fucking with a computer.
Insane. . .
 
I've never met/read somebody who actually likes Vista.

Never tried it myself, though. I got XP too.

I've read that the firefox-downloads somewhat exploded globally. I like it too.

gerard do i have to teach you everything?

a browser is that thingy you use to get on the internet. some have internet explorer, others use firefox, maybe some use opera etc. etc.

I confess I still have my Sha-Na-Na album. And that in almost all pics of me circa 1970s I am posing like Bowzer, a la the above pic.

why don't you try linux knoppix? it is a bootable linux version that you can use without having to go linux all the way, it helps you get along with it, you just download it in to an ISO and in the bios change the booth device and done.

also a friend shared something cool about firefox which is :

*open a new windown in firefox
*in the address bar type in "about:config"
*then search for the pipe filters
*three address will appear,
-in the 1st and 3rd one change value to "true"
-the 2nd address change the valule to "150"

this will make firefox a little bit faster,

and uhmm. work wise I use Internet explorer, but at home I got Firefox

Works fine. A lot of the plugins I was using are not transferable.
It's a different beast, # 3. But? It seems quite sturdy, and fast.
I'll be tweaking everything for days. *koff

Like. . . I still don't have sound, fuck sake.

Yeah, well, you'd think I'd have switched over to linux loooong ago, right?
There is ubuntu, and gads of others, also.

And Linux is great. I mean with all the fancy eye candy, including beryl.
But you know? All I finally want a computer for is a little thing to listen to
music, and to write.

That's it. Maybe some photoshop every now and again.
I just want a computer that I don't need to fix all the time. . .
Windows has become a toy to me. A broken toy. . .

I play with Linux from time to time.
But really, all I want is for something to do what it says it will.

But yeah. If you have a work machine, sometimes they don't like you futzing around with it. . . meh. IE is not really a browser. Not really.

I have a little bro, who is not as good with computer applications, so occacionally he will plug an usb drive contaning the world famous "brontok trojan", so I have to format the hard drive...that bootable cd has helped me recover important documents, pictures and illegally downloaded mp3s

and yeah Firefox is my preffered browser :)
