Yes, and the opening recalls "the tragedy of the leaves": "I awakened to dryness and the ferns were dead....", a similar mood of deadly hangover...and imagery of sun and yellow is also in the earlier poem...and recollections of New Orelans with "Carondolet street..." I couldn't figure out "in the kitchen the tablets spidercrawl to life/as a white cat looks at me.../and as I drink the bubbles..." Then I realized it must be an antacid tablet....
