I find this fascinating ...

... if one does a tag search on "Bukowski" in WordPress blogs, what comes back is an overwhelming number of blogs outside the U.S. that reference Buk but not a lot of English-language blogs.

as far as I know - though this is not official - his royalties in Europe (and Western-Europe that is) were higher than in the whole US up till 'Barfly' came out in the mid-80s.

(you may quote that, but with the given uncertainty I mentioned.)
