I NEED the original one!! (1 Viewer)

I need the exact sentence for a phrase I found in Spanish that says "Si apostara por la humanidad, no ganaría en la vida" A translation would be "If i bet for humanity, I wouldn't win in life".

Thank u! :)

Which book is it? Is it by Bukowski?

By the way, welcome to the forum. How about a little introduction, before a request?

Hmm. In "Sifting Through the Madness For the Word the Line the Way" there is the following at the start of Part 2:

"if I bet on Humanity
I'd never cash a ticket."

Haven't found it in a collected poem though.
