Kinky Friedman name checks Buk (1 Viewer)

Haven't read much of Kinky so far (and especially dislike the habit of his main character to re-light cigars from the day before!), but he seems to be a good guy. I do appreciate some of his humor.

It's good to see, he likes Bukowski. Thanks hooch!

(does he know, that Buk is supposed to hate jews? HaHa! Only joking about a bad joke - it's what they call 'meta-humor'. Hold on kids! Kinky was funny about that 'jew-thing' too! - and even made a provocative song about it!)

Kinky has provided me with one of my favourite sayings; "Choose what you love and let it kill you".

I use that about as often as I use "no man suffers more than nature intended".

He also embarrassed Bill Clinton by conspicuously offering him a Cuban cigar at a formal occasion. Of course Clinton was obliged to decline Kinkys offer. To which Kinky responded "don't think of it as supporting their economy, think of it as burning their crops".

Funny bastard.

He won me over with several things especially this line-or title, "They Ain't Making Jews Like Jesus Anymore".
