Please Help...!

Hey Guys...

...i was wondering if any of you kind souls could help me...i recall reading a poem of Bukowski's which was roughly a one pager and i thought was called "14 years" but now i'm not so sure...it pretty much consisted of him reminising over a photo of a love long departed (dead) and how no matter what happened he couldn't be told of his sorrow or longing for her and it wouldn't be taken away...i thought it was in a post humous edition but to be honest i'm at a loss...

...it was a beautiful peice and i'm desperate to work out when it was published and indeed what volume...

...i know this all seems a little vague as a description, but if any of you could help i'd be eternally greatful...

Michael, xXx...

Michael, I know you'll (most probably) never read this, but just in case and for the sake of other people wondering what poem you had been asking about I'll tell you (and them) it's (most probably) a poem called Remains (from The Days Run Away Like Wild Horses Over the Hills).

and it took 14 years to know her
and if they give me another 14
I will know her yet…
No wonder you'd thought it was called 14 Years.
