that's nice. But 'Factotum' is missing. ;-))
(I once started an elementary map of his key-references to cities, though not from 'Factotum' alone but also interviews and bios. It wasn't meant to actually reconstruct the exact trips, but only place the places on the map.
I never got farther than including these few: New Orleans, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Huston, St. Louis, El Paso, Savannah, San Francisco)

Speaking of Scott Fitzgerald - not sure how I had never heard of his contribution to the road trip genre.
Haven't read Twain's Roughing It, either. For my money, reckon both are pretty decent reads.
