Revered Experts,
Please help me find this poem. I have a dear friend who is a huge fan, and owner of many Bukowski books, and he cannot remember the title of a beloved poem (which he has not read in many years) and I am intent on finding it for him.
I know that it talks about a homeless drunk who begs everyday at the racetrack for money, and he gets enough money to place a bet on a long shot horse, and he always looses, but he is happy. It may involve a wealthy man who mocks him, or finds his routine grotesque.
