Appreciate your friends
DUH! Thank you.
it's been a couple of months since I paid, but no package yet.
Dammit, I'm ready to go in!!!!
Hey! Those Salem Public Library finds were placed by me. I stuck about a thousand broadsides in the collection. I love that people are not only still finding them, but registering them.Funny that the GPP ceased operations almost four years ago and newly found broadsides are still being registered at the site. One recent find was broadside #4 which went out more than six years ago.
You can sort the finds by almost all of those column names. That site is a marvel of modern technology, I tell you. Though the parts that aren't used anymore (like voting) are the most impressive.Ah, alpha sort.
Unless the same people were involved, I'd argue against letting anyone else use the name. But ultimately it would be up to the old core members to make that decision. One person doesn't "own" the name or concept. If it came back, why not using the same name? That way the new project would build on the legend of the old one. Why reinvent the wheel?
My feeling is fewer people would have been interested if there was no attribution.i'm wondering if more people would have jumped on board if all the poems were anonymous, attributed only to the GPP.
As if they didn't know that the $25 was intended to support GPP. :rolleyes:There were also people who dropped out and requested a refund when they found out that their $25 was not a guarantee of publication.
