Story Magazine Aftermath of a Lengthy Rejection Slip

I have a beautiful copy for sale, if you are interested I can post it on ebay for you to purchase. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm asking $875, but am flexible.

Story Magazine March-April 1944, featuring "Aftermath of a Lengthy Rejection Slip" by Charles Bukowski.

New York: Story Press, 1944. Vol. XXIV, March 1944, No. 106. 104 pp. Wraps.

The magazine is in Very Good condition, with some light creasing and soiling on the front and back covers.

There is some sun fading on the spine. This is a former library edition, so the cover has a library stamp, and embossing, and there is the remnants of an address sticker on the front cover.

There are a few more library stamps on the first few pages, but the inside is clean and bright.

That seems reasonable compared to ABE listings. And the condition is better than the higher prices on ABE.

I think Story had a pretty good print run, but there aren't many copies around for this issue.

One question: Is the binding still still tight? I ask that because it's basically impossible to determine from images.

Best of luck.

I had no idea this item had gotten so valuable. I once had a copy in nice condition and sold it for something like $50.
