The Nurses (1 Viewer)

Is there alternative endings to Bukowski's piece entitled "The Nurses"?

in Septuagenarian Stew the end reads:

they have seen
too much
death.

But I swear i've read versions of this that leaves the word "death" off. This may be quite trivial, but I'm just curious if I'm going crazy.

I think leaving death off would have been a better way to end it. (just my opinion.)
