Roni, it's all in the timeline. maybe you missed it?
Oh, yes, this is me - I MISS so many things ALL of the time!
What happened to this manuscript? Are there any parts left?

I thought, Hackford only had the rights for 'Post Office' - or did I miss something AGAIN? :-))

as far as I know, Hackford did NOT buy the rights to shoot Women... and no one has the manuscript of B's first attempt to write a novel... well, maybe the skimo has it :D

Keep an eye on my username. In which short story Bukowski mentioned the
character of "Petey the owl".
By the way i don`t like this story very much (because it`s too fictional)
but the name sounds very cool.

"Petey the owl will blow me for a buck!"
That was The Fuck-Machine, my dear!

Talking of funny nicknames:
How much is the weight of Jimmy the Dwarf and what did he have?

Thanks! - and thank god that there's only a few of those...

o.k. one more hint: One of the Dramatis Personae of the story just died.

an easy one:
according to myth, to whom did B allegedlly lose his virginity? please provide all the basic details: weight, profession... ;)

O, that was way too easy, even for me. I should take back that answer and give a really sophisticated smartass answer like:
His MENTAL verginity was lost to a certain Lila Jane, weight: not listed, profession: school-girl. notable: different panties every day.
Feel much better with this one.

o.k., here's a nice one:
What keeps Bukowski from total madness?

(in case this is too hard, I have a little tip prepared for you already.)

Wow! That was fast!
I didn't know this quote was so well known in the US!
[since in fact, the original drawing and handwriting was done in a message to his German publisher Benno Kaesmayr of MaroVerlag
(who was the first to publish a book of Bukowski-poetry in Germany in the early 70s btw).
]
So let's see what you come up with!

ok, fairly easy one...
what's the name of the jewish comedian character Buk uses in one of his stories?
see? easy one...

Oh my ..!
Imagine - ALL this knowledge and wisdom focused in One place!
Everybody, who'd have ANY question on Buk could just go and ask and FIND!
I'm so goddam fucking amazed! - It is so BEAUTIFUL!
Somebody's ALWAYS there to know! - Immediately!
- Wow!
I love it!

mjp! - You Are God !

(well, o.k., there are MANY, being god! - Van Gogh, Rimbaud, Trakl, Whitman, Hoelderlin, Einstein, Gandhi, King, Hem, Dosto, Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Burne-Jones, Warhol, Reed, Cave, Bono, Bowie, Platon, Hume, the young waitress at my café-house, ...
But - concerning the WHOLE, the Many of humanity - it still makes you special! - VERY special!)

Ok, next question:

Buk's first assignment for Open City was a review of a Hemingway bio.
What was the title of the review?
