Double header / The blessings of the internet:
OK, so I've had this song lodged in my brain for years. (No it's not
Combine Harvester) Not actually the whole song that is, but a bit of the refrain that goes like this:
"Without love, we are like ships in the night...".
I remembered really liking the song, but I just couldn't recall its title nor the band nor anything else about it. I only remembered hearing it on good old Radio Luxembourg's top twenty program (or was it top thirty?).
I guess we all have songs like that lodged deep into our cortex.
Anyway, in time the internet appeared on the earth, with all it's multitudes of satellite connected search engines, and low and behold! The spirit of the net descended upon me and allowed me to rediscover this song:
3. Ships in the Night.
Yeah, a nice summery kind of 70's pseudo-reggae with a brilliant guitar solo to boot.
But the blessing is not only rediscovering this little gem but discovering a completley unknown (for me) but amazing band from the 70s:

So, I guess the internet's not all bad...
