I hadn't listened to the Dead Kennedys in a while, or thought of them for that matter. But a few minutes ago I was wheeling my garbage can down the driveway and started singing this song.
So, obviously I had to immediately get on the internet and tell people about it.
@hoochmonkey9 wheeling the garbage out always makes me think of the Stooges for some reason (I Wanna Be Your Dog), but can definitely see Dead Kennedys as well - try Holiday in Cambodia too.
The documentary Looking For Johnny - the Legend of Johnny Thunders is coming out soon. It started as an indiegogo thing a couple of years ago. I should be getting it soon. If it's any good I'll post something in the documentaries thread. I'd completely forgotten about until I got the email a few days ago.
Yeah, the mind boggles indeed. It was put together for fun?! And it was a benefit for a dude's legal fees...in jail for drug related craziness. The irony is not lost on me.
I know I've posted this before. But Jesus Christ I can't get over this version of "Texas Flood". Close your eyes and imagine the guitar as a voice, talking to you, telling you things ... then open your eyes again and see, that Stevie Ray is now playing the guitar behind his back.
That's the point where my head explodes, every time.
